Ingredient variations
The basic recipe for crispy chocolate peanut butter balls is crisp rice cereal, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and melted chocolate.
My suggestions for ingredient substitutions are:
- no sugar powdered sugar for a sugar free option
- sunflower seed butter for a nut free option
- dark chocolate for a dairy free option
How long do these last?
Crispy chocolate peanut butter balls never last too long in our house!
Once the melted chocolate is completely set, I transfer the balls to an airtight container with a lid and store them in the refrigerator. They are still delicious a week later, and if refrigerated, will last 2 weeks.
