What to serve with this dessert dip
I love to serve sweet white bean dip with tart green apple slices. It is sort of an elevated nod to the peanut butter and apple snack I grew up eating.
If you want to make this sweet bean dip the focus of a snack board to serve guests, there are plenty of tasty dippers you can arrange on the board. In addition to apples, you can include almond flour cookies, fresh berries, pineapple chunks, seedless grapes, squares of dark chocolate, graham crackers, or crisp salty pretzels.
A snack with healthy benefits
Beans are our favorite protein source, and it cannot be a surprise that I make sweet recipes using beans. My very first published recipe in 2010 was this black bean brownie recipe, which we still love and make often.
Along with having a good amount of protein, beans are also a good source of fiber, iron, potassium, and other essential nutrients. See more reasons why beans are good for your health.
If you are craving a savory bean dip, roasted garlic white bean dip is our favorite snack!
How long does this recipe last?
My rule for maximum flavor and freshness is to enjoy this dip within three days.
Refrigerate this dip in a glass container with a tightly fitting lid.

I love sweet dips! Don't get me wrong, I love *ALL* dips - I'm an equal opportunity dip lover - but finding a great sweet one is always exciting! I'm a fan of beans, though I don't usually think to incorporate into something sweet like this. But I can always use some extra protein! 🙂
spabettie says
I'm an equal opportunity dip lover too. you will have to try this one, Molly!
Gina @ Running to the Kitchen says
Although it's a bit more conventional, I made a rosemary, pumpkin, chickpea dip (hummus kinda) that was outstanding last week. I love using beans in things they aren't supposed to be in mostly just to tell people after the first bite that they're in there and see their reaction. 😉
spabettie says
I just had to come visit and look for that (I'm on a fun rosemary trend right now!). that looks perfect!
and I do this too - beans are so versatile, I add them to a lot of unconventional things. sometimes I'll tell people. 😉
