Chocolate Chip Cookie for One - because sometimes you just need one cookie. enjoy this classic sweet fresh and warm right out of the oven!
Before I begin, I just want to observe what today is. I will never forget.
I have a cookie for you today.
I also have a serious question.
Why is the concept of OMG SO BUSY so attractive?
More specifically, why must people take on all the things, almost as a mission statement?
I am not at all trying to stir up trouble or tick people off - this is far from a new phenomenon. It is one I see every day. Perhaps it is in my current state of slowing down and grieving, but I doubt it. This has always struck a chord with me, and not necessarily in a good way.
I recently read Lisa's article, and it got me thinking. What Lisa talks about is an example of the second part of my question.
The same day I read her article, and more than once, I saw examples of exactly this thing - someone 'counseling' on a topic that is new to them. Very new. Declaring 'this is the way' when they are not entirely accountable to that way themselves, or have little understanding of that way. This can be dangerous. Learning and doing for yourself is one thing, why must it then be a teaching moment for others?
You can be an example and an inspiration and leave it at that.
...and the oh so busy. Yes, I get that phenomenon of the more I have to do, the more I get done. I am an example of this, and I thrive on having a healthy schedule. I also get overwhelmed when looking ahead at meeting after meeting, event after event, obligation after... you get the idea.
Do you see this happening as often as I do? Am I even making sense? Am I being a Bah Humbug?
Do you need a cookie?
Monday afternoon on Facebook, my friend Shirley said she was thinking about making one big cookie for herself. Several people chimed in, saying that sounded good, we also wanted a cookie. Three of us made cookies. I pulled down a cereal bowl, some flour, butter, chocolate... my cookie was good.
Yesterday I made another. Actually wrote down the quantities and perfected the single serve cookie.

This is a seriously delightful base recipe. I infused some coconut oil with BHO before making these. I used brown sugar instead of maple syrup and they were great! I put too much BHO in and got so high though lol but yum. This will be my go to medible recipe. Thanks 😀

Ok, first off, I'm glad that I'm not the only one that notices these things! It makes me feel totally guilty, and like I don't have enough on my plate, when I see what everyone else is doing. How are they these super people that do an infinite amount of things and are successful or whatever, while I'm here, working to provide a living for myself and still having trouble balancing my personal life? Ugh.
Also, I'm making this recipe. Maybe even right now. Maybe even two cookies. #dontjudgeme
