    sushi Sushi SUSHI

I could really eat it every day. Have I said that before?

Today's sushi taste really great, but did not exactly go according to plan. I have been served brown rice sushi before, haven't you?

Hmm. I used regular brown rice. It was fine, although for this recipe I really wanted to do an outside roll - impossible without sticky sushi rice. I'll be trying this again very soon. I'm stubborn that way, thankyouverymuch Grandpa Z. 😉

Still. The filling? Amazing. I could and did eat this by itself. This is what I used:

    Tofu:

    Green onion:

    My favorite, sriracha:

I mixed the sriracha with vegenaise, added it to tofu + onion:

After mixing, I tasted, then added a bit more sriracha:

    Vegan Sushi Filling:

    one block tofu
    2 tablespoons Vegenaise
5 tablespoons sriracha sauce - or to your heat level
    5 green onions, chopped

I made a pot of brown rice.

I gave up my designs on having outside rolls.

I was going to make outside rolls, and coat them in this:

    This stuff is amazing.

I will do the outside roll...

Tonight, with the brown rice, I rolled traditional. I covered the nori sheet with rice, then sprinkled furikake, then added the vegan filling:

The sun was setting as we enjoyed our sushi.

    This was fabulously delicious.

I want to do it again, Right Now.

Happy Friday, everyone. Have a fabulous weekend.

Also, don't forget to enter my giveaway!

I still prefer sushi with fish, but this is a good alternative for those who are vegan. Looks tasty, regardless. 😉
