My favorite Envy apples are here! They are only around for a very short time, so I make sure to enjoy them while I can. They have great flavor and super crunchy texture.
Have you had an Envy? They are huge. Like, one pound each. Here’s one next to a large banana:
This photo of an Envy next to a normal sized Gala better shows how big they are.
It is my goal to eat an apple a day in September – and I hope many of them are Envys.
In other news, I have enjoyed many Caesar salads lately.
I am developing a plant based Caesar salad for a project outside of the blog. I have made several variations, including an awesome raw dressing! Good thing I love salads…
More eats from the week –
southwest six layer dip – as dinner. So good, I haven’t used the fire roasted green chiles from Santa Fe in a while… and saying you had dip for dinner? Always good.
…and because fall is upon us, but I am still making ice creams like the calendar says May, we enjoyed chai-spiked pumpkin shakes yesterday. First pumpkin of the season, and it was good.
Lastly – I picked up some of these bars on our Sonoma road trip (yes, I will have recaps soon!). My favorite was the apricot goji energy bar. Delicious!
What are you enjoying this week?
