We recently bought an ice cream maker… they’re on sale now for end of season!!

This was my first time making ice cream since… Uncle Dudley with salt and ice! 😀

So… I went with a classic recipe, just so I knew it would turn out. However, I have not had whole milk or heavy cream in my house since…

well, anyway, after this I’ll be experimenting!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Ice Cream

1 cup cashew milk
3/4 turbinado sugar
2 cups coconut cream
1-2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup vegan chocolate sandwich cookies, crumbled
1/2 cup peanut butter

Action shot of my fun new toy:

Adding cookies!

All together now:

Add a dachshund cookie!

This is so amazing. Think of cookies and creme ice cream, then add peanut butter.

I will not even apologize for the amount of ice cream, fro yo and sorbet you are about to see.

It is going to be epic.

What’s team are you… ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet or gelato?

What is your favorite flavor?

Oh that ice cream looks SO good – one of the only things I miss about dairy is Blue Bell Cookies and Cream…and Mint Chocolate Chip, too! These days I’m loving fresh fruit sorbets. I’m a big fan of raspberry or orange flavors.

yes, I know Blue Bell, from visiting the south. I also met the sweetest pup named Blue Bell in Tennessee once… 🙂

I am already experimenting with fro yo and sorbet is up next… there will be plenty of off season posts about frozen desserts in the fall / winter!! 🙂

I have an ice cream maker and aside from a few failed attempts I haven’t used it. I wonder what I am doing wrong?!

Also…. favorite is gelato. Hazelnut gelato. I wonder if you could make a hazelnut ice cream with chocolate chips? I bet that would be insane.

    this looks so good!!!

I really don’t want to choose between them, but if I absolutely have to I’d say gelato. Chocolate hazlenut gelato to be exact. Good thing there is no where to buy it in my city. Maybe even in my state. Last time I had it was in Paris, and I’ve dreamed about it ever since.

Holy balls, this looks freaking amazing! Growing up I lived off of peanut butter chocolate ice cream and looking at this makes me want to dive into a bowl!

Look at the little Basil / Hudson cookie!!!! I LOVE IT!

I do not use my ice cream maker nearly often enough. This beautiful, beautiful, mouth-watering post is reminding me of this. Getting on that!
