my grandpa z was six-foot-three and had bad knees (hmm, Kristina’s bad knees = heredity, anyone?). he’d wake up every day, put on knee sleeves and then tape them with duct tape. in fact, grandpa z used duct tape for everything! perhaps bad knees are not all I inherited from grandpa z… I cut my thumb today, really bad, and did what I could to quickly stop bleeding:
then I got back to makin’ some fun nibbles for our company arriving today! I know I am usually famished after a full day of flights, as I rarely eat much, usually the cashews and granola I bring with me!
sometimes the most simple is the most tasty!
when we’re having people over, I look at my menu plan and at the last minute often add these, and people always rave about them!! they are so simple and quick, and you already know these flavors go together!
– pretzel rings (I always use EnerG sesame, as they are not only gluten free but have sesame seeds-YUM!
– dark chocolate Hershey’s Kisses
– peanut butter M&M’s
preheat oven to 200. spread pretzel rings on a baking sheet. place a Kiss inside each ring. “bake” 10 minutes, just to melt the chocolate. they will still hold their Kiss shape. push an M&M into each Kiss, flattening into the ring. cool completely (I put in fridge for a bit). in addition to being gluten free, I have also made them vegan by using those vegan chocolate drops instead.
Mmm. these are so yum. have a fabulous Friday, everyone!
