Kina Royale Cocktail - a spirit forward and Bond inspired vodka champagne cocktail befitting any secret agent. Shaken not stirred - cheers!
A couple weekends ago, we attended one of my favorite annual events in Portland - the Our House Annual Gala Auction. Back in college, I volunteered with a few different local organizations, and I have always enjoyed going to events like these.
The auction is always incredibly inspiring and a great deal of fun. Some people choose to dress up fancy, others come up with awesome costumes! The crowd is really fun, and a great deal of money is raised.
This year, I wanted to invite some of our friends to join us, so spabettie LLC bought a table. One of the sponsor benefits is an ad in the auction program, so I figured a recipe would be a fun idea.
The theme for the event was 'Shaken, Not Stirred' - a James Bond 007 kind of thing, so a cocktail recipe was an obvious choice.
We had fun creating this recipe, for sure. It is definitely spirit forward... if you like your cocktails less so, reduce the vodka by an ounce, and or add some simple syrup. (Pink grapefruit is as sweet as I like it.)

What a genius idea to put a recipe in your ad spot!!! I am definitely doing this next time! AND, of course, I love this cocktail. I have been so into grapefruit this winter. YUM.

Oh, I don't know if I could handle spirit-forward... JUST KIDDING! I'll have 3. This looks amazing. If there's bubbly involved, I'm always in. 😉
