vida vegan conference TICKET GIVEAWAY

Longtime readers may remember me excitedly going on and on and on about the first ever vegan blog conference – Vida Vegan Con. The second one is next month, from May 24-26, here in (vegan mecca!) Portland.

The inaugural conference was one of the most fun weekends I have had – I cannot wait for next month!

When tickets went on sale for this years conference, I was among the first to purchase a ticket. In January of this year, I began working with Attune Foods, and I am now attending as an Attune Ambassador. My original ticket is up for grabs.

The Vida Vegan site describes this amazing weekend as: Three full days of classes, food, talks, exhibitors, and community. We’re packing around 350 vegan bloggers, cookbook authors, blog enthusiasts/future bloggers, and special guests under one roof (well, two actually) for what VegNews called a Vegan Lovefest.

I am giving away one ticket for the conference – three days of seeing and meeting amazing people, eating fabulous food, and attending informative seminars. Also? The swag bag? Incredible.

Did I mention Vida Vegan Con is sold out?

This is pretty much the Golden Ticket right here, and it could be yours!

I love Portland, and recently moved to PDX. I love the amazing food, gorgeous mountain views (on clear days), and exploring the fun neighborhoods. Also, Powells. : )

I’ve been to Portland only once, and while there were lots of things to love, I have to say on balance that my favorite thing was dinner on Josh and Michelle’s deck and holding Ace – a dog that gives kisses while allowing you to hold him like a baby!

#1) have you been to a blog conference before? if so, which one(s)? – Sadly, I have not. I desperately wanted to attend one on travel and one on WordPress, but was traveling myself at the time :)

#2) have you visited Portland? what was your favorite thing about Portland?

I’m fortunately enough to live in the suburbs of Portland, so yes, I have visited. If you forced me to nail down ONE thing about Portland, it would be the people. :)

I was so excited last year when I heard about Veda Vegan Conference that I could hardly contain myslef! For my birthday my mom got us both tickets, even though she’s not vegan, but loves Portland and thought it would be fun to go with me. Sadly, she became ill and neither of us could make it. So we gave up or precious tickets. I’ve only been to Portland a few times, but I really enjoyed the Farmer’s Market, The Rose Garden and Powell’s. I’d love to go back and be part of a this vegan community and go to all the awesome seminars and events, and of course, eat wonderful food at Veda Vegan Con!!

First of all – what an AMAZING opportunity. I am pee-my-pants excited. 😉

    Here are my answers:

    1) I went to SXSW once for work, but I didn’t get to participate in any of the blog-related activities. (sad face)

  9. says

    2) Yes! Portland is awesome. I love the weather, the incredibly liberal, eco-minded, veg-minded community, and the yummy food. Oh, the food!

I’ve never been to Portland, but my wife went a few years ago. She still talks about the vegan french toast she got there. *jealous*

  11. Jenna says

I’ve never been to Portland but I have friends there that LOVE it! I would love to visit!! I’ve only been vegan for 14 months and havenot yet been to any vegan conferences or festivals but it’d be awesome to meet more vegans and learn more about vegan food and products!

    1) i’ve never been to a blog conference and was hoping to go to Vida Vegan this year, but it’s been a year of some huge changes – all for the better! Since everyone here is pretty open I’ll go ahead and share what it’s been like: My college boyfriend and I ultimately (and amicably) ended our almost 4 year relationship, the day after that ended I had an interview for a job and was offered the position on the spot, then a few months later somehow miraculously stumbled into a fantastic relationship with the man that I’ll marry (aka: my soul’s pal) and a few months after that I was offered a far better job so there was another big change… followed up by me moving out of my precious loft in a trendy neighborhood of Charlotte and in with my boyfriend. During this year of transition, and fresh starts, I never made time to sit down and plan a trip to vida vegan despite it being something i had really really wanted to do this year.

    2) I haven’t visited portland but I’m hoping to go in the next year or two as things quiet down (with a big trip on the horizon later this month and one in

oops! i meant to say with one to california later in the year, i just don’t have time this year, but hopefully sometime next year- or to Vida Vegan! :)

  15. says

I went to Foodbuzz in 2011, and I was actually NOT impressed because of the lack of vegan food options, and the lack of celebrating the city (San Francisco). I would LOVE to reconnect with my vegan tendencies at this conference!

  16. says

I have not been to a blogging conference and would LOVE to go. I was supposed to go to the last VVC but my husband’s best friend got married that weekend and we had to sell our tickets. Wahwah. :-(

  17. says

I live in Portland and my favorite part about it is the vegan + gf selection at so many amazing restaurants! As well as the ease of being a vegan mama and having a vegan baby!
