fill in the blank friday

by Kristina Sloggett

in Basil is a Young Sportsman

okay, I know it’s early to be thinking about holiday trees, but I had a conversation about them with a good friend yesterday, and I am excitedly thinking about what to do this year (new house = BIG tree!).

I just discovered a new blog today through another friend, and then discovered on that blog the fun Fill in the blank Friday.

I thought I’d participate, the questions are fun…

1. I like karaoke. dachshunds. fresh fruit. glitter. high heels. lip gloss. open minds. dark chocolate. oh, I should stop now?

2. A life goal of mine is to learn how to tap dance!

3. The last thing you would ever expect me to like (even though I secretly do) is trash television. cannot get enough, it is my guilty pleasure. I have to be doing something else at the same time, though – cooking, laptopping, painting or crafting.

4. Some wise words that I love are “whatever you focus on gets bigger” – this can go either way, but I prefer to focus my intentions on the positive…

5. Most mornings you will find me on the treadmill.

6. Right now I am super into decorating our new house – we buy paint this weekend!

7. Right now I am super over negative people. I am always over them. *side eye*

I love reading things like this and can just imagine what an awesome holiday entertainer you are…and what Basil’s holiday sweater will look like 😉

As for No. 4, I’ve always kept something similar in mind: Where your attention is, that’s where you are. That can go either way, as you know.

hee! you just gave me a thought, he doesn’t have a holiday sweater… Must. Get. On. This.

and yes – that quote is very similar to the one I like, I love that thought!

oooooo I may have to do this today…. Hmmm the night is still young! Tap dancing is neat! You should make it a 2013 goal 😀

I know, you campaign often against the negativity, and I LOVE it! life is too short to be involved in negativity or drama. I like to save my drama for the karaoke stage, thank you. 😉

lots of love back to you, my dear! XO

I like karaoke too. If we happen to be in the same city at the same time, I look forward to hearing your go-to song…

15 spabettie November 11, 2012 at 10:53 am

that would be fun – we could sing together! :)

I’ve been thinking about Christmas trees lately, too. I feel like it’s a little early, but I’ve bee scouting out new tree skirts so I can’t help it :)

Also, my husband is a tap instructor – he’ll have to give you a few lessons when we are in Portland in May!

17 spabettie November 11, 2012 at 10:50 am

oh, YAY – I would LOVE that!! :) (I seriously cannot WAIT for May…)

Fun survey, and I love your responses especially what you focus on gets bigger. Ain’t that the truth. Why not try to look at the positive whenever possible?!

19 spabettie November 12, 2012 at 9:04 am

bad times are inevitable, but I certainly try to be positive as much as possible – even moreso during the bad times.

20 Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets November 11, 2012 at 6:55 pm

Ps good luck painting. I can’t wait to see what colors you choose.

21 spabettie November 12, 2012 at 8:45 am
