o’reilly dachshund

For my dachshund and tech friends!

It was bound to happen at some point – the folks at O’Reilly have published a book with a dachshund on the cover. If you are not familiar, O’Reilly is known for their books with animals on the coversย (we have the Perl camel t shirt!).

I always love the O’Reilly sections of bookstores, and we have several of these books on our shelves. I was happy to see the dachshund represented.

(I’m still looking for the connection between the picture and the title. Is there any?)

I took ‘wireless sensor network’ quite literally, while picturing Basil with his nose to the ground, sniffing and “monitoring the environment” of his yard… ๐Ÿ˜‰ Jason took it pretty basic (surprising for his engineer brain) and described one of those wireless dog fences. ๐Ÿ˜‰
